I average about 11L/100km (26mpg) in my 2008 TDV8 , with down to 8 (35mpg) on freeway and up to 17 (17mpg) with spirited driving. |

Must be mapped out on the 3.6 ie can't only do a physical blank. So first find a good place that will do the reprogramming and ask what they recommend about the physical work to suit their ECU changes ... |

Is this the inlet plenum for a TDV8? If so, that's the device that deactivates one of the inlet ports to give better low end performance. It's also connected to a pipe that runs to the filter box.
