Hi all.
Trying to cure a suspected intake leak on my 2.7 sport.
I'm getting a noise like..ssshhhh ssshhhh at about 25 to 30 and 1800 to 2000 rpms.

Engine seems fine, gears all fine,no black smoke.
So, I tried a smoke test and it duly escaped from the open oil cap neck, no where else, that I can see. Anyhow, this set up has a pressure gauge that allows just air to be pushed through the system. But when doing so, no pressure builds on the gauge at all. Does that definitely mean there is a leak somewhere or is the air leaving through an exhaust port etc.
Any help and advice greatly appreciated.

You won't build up pressure in the engine. What smoke tester are you using??

Mine has a gauge on it but that's only to show I'm pushing smoke out of the machine

Been away a while, but forgot to ad that smoke does emit from the elbow of the intake pipe that leads down to the turbo. There's a rubber grommet or gasket on the end. I've tried searching for the part number, but no luck. Anyone know the part I mean by chance ?

Hi, thanks for that but I'd looked at that one and it didn't show. It's a rubber seal that sits in between the two pipes to the right on the picture near h2 bolt. Approx 80mm round and 50mm deep with ridges to help keep it in place. Strange that it's not listed.
