To add some more info for others reading - The physical blanking alone is suitable only for EU3 engines (06MY and earlier). Later, EU4 (07MY or later) vehicles need an additional software modification (often done with a remap), but, they can be blanked (and should be IMO). Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Don't forget to remove the throttle butterfly. Loads of info on here and the Disco 3 forum. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures

Hi, I blanked my EGR valves about 6 months ago but didn't take out the throttle butterfly. Is this necessity? All I done was take out the two pipes and place the plates in place of where the holes were. Purchased the blanking plates of eBay. |

You should take out the throttle butterfly, A good garage or someone who understood the system should have explained this to you. There is a danger that you could pull oil over, resulting in an engine runaway. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures

It will, but the EML can be mapped out, allowing blanking |

Hi Mikey, thanks for that, I was on the understanding I would need emulators fitting but if a map tweek will suffice with blanking then great news. Can I ask , do the pipes stay or go with this ?? 2007, HSE, Cairnes Blue, Factory tints, Love it !!! |

Either will do. Personally, I blank and leave the pipes in place. Keeps it looking completely standard under the bonnet

May be worth dropping a PM to site sponsor Alive Tuning. They have an agent not far from yourself, who will be able to blank your EU4 |
