I have a response, unfortunately it appears LR will not help. Anyone wanting to buy my vehicle (I will of course have the turbo repaired, although there has been no fault showing since I took it in); at a sensible price please pm me, I'm afraid this will be my last LR. I intend to start posting here however as you guys at least seem a good bunch! Cheers for the help.

Quite interesting to contrast LR's response compared with MB who replaced 2 doors,a front wing and spring hanger on my E320cdi at 5 years and 180,000 miles FOC.

Over in the techy section bananenschale has also reported a turbo blown in Germany, it will be interesting to see how his German dealer sorts it out and compare his treatment with yours, although his car is, I think, younger and still in warranty. His thread is here http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic14033.html 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Yes, my partner and in law is a lawyer; and they suggested the same. I must say I have enough legal issues at the moment with non payment of client accounts(!), however I will be speaking with someone about this (not really their area) as I feel LR should really act more responsibly and at least acknowledge that this simply should not happen on a car of mines age and mileage.
