As a general question, and as not dealing in the movement of small vehicles, at a little over 2 tons, can RRs in general be transported legally on a normal car trailer?

Looks like I'll need to lift the body to sort out a noisey exhaust manifold on my 2010 3.6 TDV8.

Any wheel will be transmitting the same force back to the mounting/centre.
More material over a given area will not reduce that 'shock', merely spread it better.

I agree with you, astheticaly 22s look the bees knees, and if they did damage, why are they an option.
