Not a question, a statement ! Batteries loaded up with toxic metals not to mension it being built then shipped halfway round the world, what was it JC said on top gear, you could run a Range Rover none stop for a year and not come close to the impact of these hybrids. Sorry but there nothing but a gimmick to make the manufactor s look good and dodge the tax, just my view of course... 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

I have considered the eco arguments for years and kept buying LRs as I didn't believe the hype around the so called green machines

I agree hybrid credentials are exaggerated but the phev appears to be better

The parts on a Range Rover are also shipped from all over the world and not exactly eco friendly materials either - JC is very entertaining but has zero credibility when it comes to choosing a car unless you have enough money for a supercar Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Timed climate warmed the car nicely for me this morning then I did 12 miles with heated seat/steering wheel and still had 1/2 the battery when I arrived - no petrol was used on this trip Mr. Green

The DS would be just getting warm by the time I arrived and would probably used about 1/2 gallon Whistle

I never used the timed climate on the Black Edition because it was kept in a garage and the fumes would of been an issue Rolling Eyes

I used my BAS remote FBH this morning (as every morning) which gave a warm engine, heated seats did the rest and then I did nearly 50 miles to work. No petrol used on the trip either. Thumbs Up

Oh, I did take the RRS through 18 inches of water at a ford today too. How's your milk float when it comes to fords, Muddy? Whistle 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

A little jesting to start Ner Ner
I want to know what happens when in rains, I think I read somewhere that Mitsubishi state do not drive the Phev on wet roads, I guess this means splash thought a puddle and you could subject you backside (and other bits) to electrickery Censored treatment. Big Cry Big Cry

So what happens if you skid off the road on your summer tyres into a flooded ditch (I've done this)? Rolling with laughter

So, Muddy, I think it maybe prudent to start wearing Rubber underpants and wear marigold gloves whilst driving the Float Embarassed Maybe worth asking BC if he has an old copy of Plastics & Rubbers Weekly you can borrow. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

Laughing

There are no Fords round me (apart from the Blue oval variety) so not really a problem that the Mitsy shouldn't be driven through them - I'm more interested in it's ability on snow and ice while I'm toasty warm in the cabin and driving emission free Wink

I'm now moaning about fumes from vehicles in front a lot more though Rolling Eyes Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
