Early days but so far done 93 miles and it was showing 980mpg but I had to overtake this morning and it dropped to 374.6mpg because the petrol engine kicked in Sad

As you can see the fuel gauge hasn't dropped at all yet despite only holding about 40 petrol Mr. Green

Full charge from flat is 1 which should give 32 mile range but at moment only getting 24 - it improves apparently after a few charge/discharge cycles Confused

Just returned from another trip - 121 miles @ 669.4 Mpg Mr. Green

It will be interesting to see how long the battery lasts when we hit the colder months with all your heated goodies switched on.

Been told by friend on second PHEV around 20 miles in winter if you have heated seats/steering wheel and heater/demist going - you can improve this by preheating vehicle on mains before leaving via timed climate/Phone App Thumbs Up

I couldn't use timed climate on Black Edition as kept in garage but being electric this isn't an issue for PHEV Cool Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

I've now entered the cost kw/h in PHEV computer to monitor cost and it tells me last night charge was 73p - this morning it's showing 32 miles range and mpg has gone blank because it only shows up to 999.9 Mr. Green

I have found one problem though - according to handbook it can't be driven on flooded roads so fording is probably out - I may have to be called Drywheels from now on Embarassed Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Australia 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

Brilliant Electricwheels. I knew that you would find a new hobby in frugality to keep us entertained! OK, it's not totally tragic looking, but the dash is er........horrible.

Please carry on with the updates, I am genuinely interested about life with an EV. Although I would rather take the bus myself because I like petrol, it's interesting to see how the PHEV will be to live with every day. Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

I was going to ask if plugging your mobile phone in reduced the battery mileage, also how long does the battery pack lasts?

However I won't ask as I think you have had enough piddle taken, plus I could be accused of Censored bullying. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

Agree the dash is horrid - not sure if anyone has managed to swap FFRR interior with PHEV Laughing Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Have been off the site for a few months since moving from RRS to Merc GLE and immediately saw Muddy's post.

As a follower of your posts over the years fascinated why after having a loan DS for so long you continued with your purchase of the DS with very positive reviews only to change to the PHEV.,? Current Merc GLE 3.5d 2016 model, 2011 RRS HSE standard
Previous 2012 FL2 liked but boot too small
Previous to LR's 3 x Merc E320 estates - fantastic load carriers and long distance cruisers, ultra reliable. Only changed as needed a 4x4 high tow vehicle. Did have a 1955 early LR drop down windscreen and fuel tank under the drivers seat; again very reliable and super rugged.

Good point Nigel Bow down

I ordered the DS in June 2015 before it was launched based on my years of LR ownership expecting it would be a big leap forward as all new models have been before - I never considered anything else being a LR man straight down the line despite previous issues Confused

Driving a Punto and Mini from June to October the Courtesy DS was a welcome relief and I was convinced I'd done the right thing - when my actual vehicle arrived Xmas Eve it really felt like Xmas and the RRS was a distant memory. As time went by I convinced myself the niggles were just me being picky after a RRS and after all it was 20-30k cheaper so allowances should be made Embarassed

Over the last 8 months the list of niggles grew and the DS forum I joined/moderated was flooded with unhappy owners - I defended the DS being a LR fan until I was introduced to the PHEV by a friend and opened my eyes to the benefits - I resisted for as long as I could but in the end the PHEV figures and the DS niggles sunk in and I couldn't live with the DS anymore Big Cry

Off road the DS would be unbeatable but I don't need that ability now - the PHEV does everything I need it to in comfort and the money saved will fund something for the weekend I hope Mr. Green

The issues with the DS are all easily fixed and it's a great vehicle but I really can't face another LR dealer experience so as they say in the Den - IM OUT Whistle Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
