The main one is the big hose coming out from the front right side of the engine which comes up from the intercooler. You can access the other end of this through a panel in the wheel arch which is held in by plastic rivet things. This is the most common one to fail but the others have been known to go too.

The other two on the nearside are harder to get to. You have to remove the wheel arch liner to get at them, though the top of the larger of the two can just be seen and felt from the engine bay.

Thanks, I'll have a look tomorrow.

Don't want them splitting.

There are no splits I any hoses as yet but I'll keep my eye on them.

But there is still black smoke when I stick my foot down. I thought the blanking kit stops this.

I'm assuming the car is not remapped, as this can cause some smoke?

Have you checked the intercooler itself for leaks? You might see oil leaking out if so. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

No, the car's not remapped.

And you know the next question... ...where's the inter cooler? Ha! Sorry. I'm a novice.

Sorry. It's down low behind the bumper, beneath the radiator. The two larger hoses connect into it (at the back). Thumbs Up

They aren't very good (being small and thick) and block up easily (I've fitted an uprated one Mr. Green ). Rolling Eyes Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

just want to proceed with same theme..

i think my TDV8 3,6l RRS started to give EGR error P140A (left side egr).

there is a possibility to change this EGR, but to blank both EGRs would cost less and i think it would be even better.

so has anyone blanked EGRs in these yellow marked places:

maybe TDV8 EGRs should be blanked in other place?

i think to leave both egrs in their places as it is require a lot of working hours just to remove them and blank all tubes for air, cooling and etc.

Thanks.

I'm not sure there is a readily available solution for 3.6 TDV8 blanking (yet). I imagine it would have to involve a software patch as is the case with the EU4 TDV6.

Let us know if you find a solution. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

well i just noticed that when engine cold (after night) and i start engine after 2-4 seconds exhaust gives a lot of smoke and engine hardly accepts throttle. but after 2-3 sec everything becomes normal.

i think it could be that EGR does not work properly.

Vehicle do not give any error at the moment. but i dont see it normal as it was not few days ago.

in the other hand, if no one yet blanked EGRs on TDV8 3.6 then i dont want to be rabbit Wink

i would rather try to clean or change this egr to new one..

Blanking, if possible, would always be the best option, so it would be nice. I would imagine it is being worked on by someone. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Very simple to do on the 2.7, and slightly more complicated for the 3.6 TDV8 where the throttle bodys have to be disconnected to keep them in the open position.

Just found this which implies it has been done. Might be worth speaking to Gary @ Alive Tuning about it. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK
