i take it that the digital tv tuner is way better than the standard pile of poop tv tuner, Peachy? Do you get all freeview channels with it, and some more ?

I haven't really had a good play yet - seems a decent bit of kit - I will add a few videos on this thread over the next few days - it picks up the digital radio but still early days - they had an Alpine tuner which was £500 reduced to £224 but the aerials pushed it back over £300 without installation - I rarely spend more than an hour in the RRS at any one time so more of a toy than a practical piece of kit - I can always upgrade if its something I find worthwhile. 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

This is what i think i know The tuner needs an interface to make the picture - this is the GVIF unit - the tuner is connected to the GVIF with the normal red - white & yellow aux connectors then is hard wired for the power & antennas installed as discreetly as possible on the top corners of the windscreen. The tuner is TV in motion

A friend of mine previously had the antennas fitted to the back quarters and the picture was very clear on the tuner he purchased but no longer has the car to advise about the tv in motion.

Came home after fitting on the M42 - nothing overtook me no probs with pic or sound quality - but the fitter advised - tints cause interference & restricted signal - I'm gonna do a bit more research on that tomoz 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

You could go into Diagnostics mode and video input test, this will enable you to have the TV on while the car is moving.

Tony, the 2010 rrs and D4 gvif is a lot more involved to install. You have to take the touchscreen out and remove the sceptres from the rest of the unit. Then put a small pcb in connected with flexible ribbon. I've installed a couple of these, but they're not for the faint hearted.....
