worth a try mate as you know 1 problem with these cars can throw up other problems which might not be the cause

It sounds like your car isn't "going to sleep"

Any number of things could prevent this including a faulty taILgate switch. Thumbs Up RRS gone

Ok so it could be the faulty tailgate switch that they haven't picked up on which could be triggering the vehicle not to go to sleep.

What would you suggest to do?

They've got the vehicle back with them now and are getting a specialist to take a look at the vehicle who will try find the problem.

They have given me a brand new Freelander in the meanwhile, shall I let them crack on and not mention anything until they come back to me or advise them of this, as it really isn't my problem.

I think there actually giving up on everything now and look into a settlement or another vehicle.

What do you think>?

Land Rover have called and advised they have now changed the upper tailgate switch, the Sat NAv itself, The bluetooth phone, the module under the seat, the dvd player and also a new Amplifier.

Fingers crossed when they drop it off tomorrow it all runs fine!

It didn't start this morning !!!!!

They have replaced the sat nav unit and module, phone connection, new stereo and a new amplifier.

I received a call from the dealer principal earlier who has advised they will get the car to another dealer as they have more experienced technicians.

Lets see what happens !

They advised the rear upper tailgate switch was fine and didnt require replacing.

Once the car didn't start last week they've said this is there last attempt at a different dealer and they have a list of faults which they are going to go through one by one they also said it 'could' be the upper tailgate switch.

They were made aware of this last week but chose not to replace and said it was fine.

ARGRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Lets see what happens when I get the car back!
