worth a try mate as you know 1 problem with these cars can throw up other problems which might not be the cause |

if it was me i would tell them to open the switch up if its corroded inside then replace the switch with all what you have done to the car id stick with it i was the same as you i nearly give up on the car and felt like taking a hammer to it but then i found the problem and touch wood nothing since |

Land Rover have called and advised they have now changed the upper tailgate switch, the Sat NAv itself, The bluetooth phone, the module under the seat, the dvd player and also a new Amplifier.

They advised the rear upper tailgate switch was fine and didnt require replacing.
