My Imminent RS4..

Went to my Audi dealer today, as they have just had in their first RS4's so got to view in person (after a little wait). Should be getting the car in April/May now as Com build number has been confirmed and allocations for 2006 RHD UK cars have now been closed (can still get cancelled orders and presold cars at premium as with every car with a list nowadays!)

Pics aren't the best as they were off my phone, and wish i had been able to record the sound this beast makes when you fire them up.. WOW.. never heard anything like it i don't think. Fired up the Sprint blue one in the garage. Both are customer cars awaiting March 01 06 plate delivery..
Bucket seats are brilliant and when you press the sport button it feels very good when it closes in around you. Audi interior is best i have seen to date, the DVD nav looks very swish and the MP3 ports behind the screen are very good. Mostly everything is onboard that i would have expected. Glad i ordered the daytona grey with optics pack, the chrome bits apart from the mirrors will be blackd out same as Bmw high gloss shadowline kit.
Can't wait, although will be sad to see the RRS go (again). Will need to start thinking about selling her again soon.. depending on pex price offered and going rates on private sales.

Beautiful looking car Kam. I like the interior and the steering wheel!
I don't know how you could change the RRS for it though. Since driving 4x4s (and this is only my 2nd), I couldn't go back to a low car. Matt

RRS ownership for 1 yr, then D3 for 2 yrs. Then cut back to old bangers and working my way back up through two Peugeots in 6 months. Now got Saab 9-5 2.3t and enjoying the performance!

Kam, you must be well happy to hear your delivery date has come forward. The car looks great and I bet it sounds awesome. As for what Matt said, ideally I'd like a 4x4 and a "low" car for hoofing around the place in.... one day!

That would be the ideal situation..
An RRS HSE/SC and an M5 or something similar.
Going back to our ideal driveway thread that RRUK posted a while back.

Im excited about the car, but when it actually was looking like coming forward to March, i crapped myself, as im not going to be financially ready for then and would have to sell the RRS a lot sooner then i would like. I still have a potential 4 months of ownership in the RRS and this will be ideal really.

I am saying this now, but i know after the test drive, scheduled Mar 1st in their Avus demo arriving soon, i will want it there and then!!

Looking through those photos again, that's one car even I'd be tempted to keep clean. Doesn't it look great when it's shiny! I'm all broody now!!

The bit I like is how it changes colour from blue to red! Very Happy 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

Cheers guys, glad you like..

Yeah Schmoogle, thats why i didn't go for the phantom black, if you want a car which would look best clean, avoid the black in all cases, (thats what i have learnt from the RRS and my last Bmw).

The Daytona Grey should more then manageable i think.
Hopefully will have it for the April 21st day out to LR, so some of you guys can have me leave you for dust in your SC's! Razz
Payback time i think..

Funny but i go out most weekend nights with friends, and round Solihull we have gangs of what we call max power rude boys hanging outside a big johns kebab shop and the local 24 hr Bp shopping station. I have started taunting some of the lads who race up and down the main dual carriageway, by blocking the lanes with my fat RRS ass or when the speed bumps come, taking on their offers to race them then when i know they can't get over them due to their stupidly massive exhausts touching the floor! Is quite funny im telling you, they don't appreciate being shown up in front of their chav girlfriends! So when the RS4 arrives i can imagine i will have even more fun!

I bet you the gap's a whole lot smaller now though. Until they go and release a new RS6, of course. It's good to see RS and M models going at it head to head during model transition times... first one's ahead then the other. Having had an E46 M3 - I am so looking forward to the E90 M3 release. Kam, of course, has both bases covered the lucky git! Wink
