RRUK - check this out - turn on your speakers.
One i prepared (well found) earlier.

Andrew: This is the footage from top gear, the red looks at home on the mountains, but doesn't have quite the same effect on the grey backdrop of english weather!

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5...q=audi+rs4

Here are the rest, some quite good footage, the sound the RS4 makes is quite sensational.

Shmoogle, im quite enjoying this model transition release of hot cars also.
By RS taking the lead with the RS4 it kind of guarantees the E90 will have to be more then 420 bhp or offer something hotter!

And in regard to ordering in advance, the M3 was planned from as far back as Oct 2004 (yes eager beaver i know!) but the RS4 was more a recent impulse order. My family have 2 RS4's arriving together and 3 M3's in 2007. We don't like to compete so have to do things together in equal measures! Plan is to have 3 M5's after them, when they are under the £50k mark, hopefully early 2008.

Looks fabulous Kam.......stunning motor!

You will find the Grey one of the easiest colours to live with in terms of dirt etc. My Dolphin Grey S4 never looked dirty however this also meant that when you spent 2 hours cleaning it there was very little obvious difference!!!! Currently: Carbon Black 535d

As long as you can see it, thats all that matters.
I think the wheels will be a joy to keep clean, although if i kerb them, i will throttle the nearest person in anger and blame them!! Twisted Evil

Thats another thing i love about the RRS, no worries parking it, fling it up the kerb and back down again, no need to reverse park it..!

Nothing can be as bad to keep clean as the old 18" MV Spokes on the 3 Series sports........looked fantastic however something close to a trip to the dentists to keep clean..........and I didn't learn, I had 3 cars with the damn things on!!! Shocked

Then I went over to the Z4 3 litre with 18" 5 spokes on........aaagggghhhh, that was better! But then I realised I was in a girls car Thud so went and bought an S4 Bow down that also had wheels that were very easy to keep clean Currently: Carbon Black 535d

ST.. tell me about it!! i had the MV spokes too on my 330d..
what a mission to keep clean.. and when you did actually cleaned them, you needed nothing short of a toothbrush to get them done.
I think i resorted to the illegal immigrant hand wash at the time i had this car and got lazy as who knows what the squirty stuff is that they use, but certainly got them a lot cleaner then i used to manage.

I had the M double spokes on my coupe before that and the MV2's on the cabriolet, and they were both much better then the MV2's.. they were the worst alloys ever in the world!

The RS4 wheels should be easy to keep clean, but im dreading trying to reverse park with them!

Yeah, beware! I did one of my 19s on the M3 in by not paying proper attention when parallel parking once. Luckily just caught the edge of the rim and not the face... might've been a bigger repair job otherwise. I'm really loving that car actually. I'm trying my best not to call my broker and ask if he can see any cancelled RS4s on the horizon. My local Audi dealer apparently won't have his demo for a couple of weeks and testdrive diary is rammed for the first couple of weeks after that.... I'd really have to wait for the Avant for practicalities sake though and of course, I daren't mention it to the wife.

See what you've done to me, Kam??? Laughing Laughing

Im sorry mate.....
Our dealer demo is full in the diary too, but the registered confirmed order customers get a blast first i have been told.

The salesman admitted to me, that the demo that had come in (belongs to a good customer of theirs) was not supposed to be driven before Mar 1st, but they waited till evening stuck the trade plates on and went for a blast in it. He said it was awesome, no difference between RS6 and this despite the figures, very smooth gearbox and not as twitchy as you would expect it to be on the 19" wheels and with all that power, can be driven normally. Apply the throttle though and especially in S mode and it turns into a monster.. CAN'T WAIT to have a go personally, think the fastest car i have driven to date has been a M3 CSL on the track at Rockingham, nothing with more BHP i don't think..?

The bucket seats are brilliant, but a bit of a nause to get out of, would have to perfect the method of getting out without looking like a complete tit i think! My mum has got no chance, would have to ride in the back like a taxi passenger. The interior detailing is superb, my pics don't do it any justice. Interestingly, behind the dvd nav screen is 2 Mp3 port plug ins, so you just insert either your memory card of plug in your ipod there. Nice..

Sorry for the gentle persuation.. i just think its worth a look.. just because ur trying/looking doesn't mean you're buying does it!?? hehe Laughing

No it doesn't, but unfortunately it's this sort of thing that's in the sweet spot for the wife's "you needn't think you're doing that" frame of mind! Wink She's actually away next weekend - so if I can find a dealer with a free demo slot, I might have a sneaky drive.
