Andrew, im very jealous! Nice report though, always good to hear the car is a good one, justifies the order for me and my brother in law.

Tim, the RRsport is the nuts in this segment, and i wouldn't consider any other 4x4 now ive tasted what the RRS has to offer. However, i am relatively young, and have no other commitments right now, apart from my car and my business, so i have a tendency to change cars quite frequently. I wish i could run a few cars at one time, like Jayman does and have different cars for different occassions and moods, but for me i have to keep riding the residuals wave and get in/out of cars quite frequently. Even with my most recent problem with my particular RRS, this won't deter me from re-entering ownership hopefully after the M3 in late 2007/early 2008 when hopefully there will be more variety to choose from. The TDV8 or maybe even a hybrid being the latest toys out tempting me to re-enter the LR ownership experience.

Believe it or not, but if i was to make the same decision today about the RS4 i would have probably not bothered with it, but together with my brother in law, the peer pressure made me cave and the desire to have the latest toy on the block.. Plus its a damn fast car, so i want to experience a bit of this before i settle back down into another RRS or even an SC version next time. (while my license is still in tact!).

Excuse me for joining this thread rather late....... why Kam, you said the Sport was the dogs danglers so why an AUDI, a car that reps aspire to after a BM and a Merc C class?

Sorry guys but I think Audi are loosing the design plot just like BM, maybe their
designers are smoking the same weeds as Chris Bangle... and that gaping guppy radiator doesn't suit it at all. I used to like Audi's unstated appearance but now they all look like old mens' cars like the Rover 75 and look what happened to that. Sorry Kam, I don't mean to demean your decision to change but I wouldn't be seen dead in a car that looked like that, even an RS4 variant.

Looks like Tim's with me then - IT LOOKS LIKE EVERY OTHER CAR! It may me quick and nice to drive but it's still a VW (Who own Skoda) 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

MY RS4 HAS JUST ARRIVED!!
The sales man just sent me a picture of the front optic pack grill..
earmarked to pick both up next saturday.. just waiting on my plate retention to come through!! can't bloody wait.. although will have it 4 days, and then off to Pakistan again, and have a 2.0d corrolla saloon to drive there for a week! so it will have to stay sitting in the garage!

Can't bloody wait now.. i now understand the excitement faced by you guys when waiting for your factory fresh RRS'. I have even managed to blag onto the finance a road angel plus and the window tints which will be done by external companies...

I can't think of anything else now!

No mate, not yet, was waiting to receive confirmation from underwriters that they would finance this with the car.

basically road angel plus, is like the rest of them, but in order to get rid of wires, you have to hard wire it into the car, when you hard wire it, you loose ability to move it from car to car. Road angel plus is the latest one out, basically it has 8 hour battery life, no wires, and you simply clip it off dash, take it into the house and plug it in like ur mobile.

were £350, now £300.
http://www.radar-detectors.co.uk/road_angel_plus.asp
These guys seem very good, £300 delivery inclusive.
Will invoice to whoever you want also, so they are good.
Mains charger is £10 extra though..
It charges off the USB port plug normally, and comes with in car charger as well in case ur long distance at any point and it runs out..

Seems a good piece of kit, and i reckon i'll need it..
Drove my brother in law's S4 tip on saturday night.. and bloody hell that was quick enough.. overtook three cars in a line easily, and when i looked at speedo, had hit triple figures! road to loosing license i fear.. road angel will keep me in check..

£55k!! you can have mine with 0 miles on it for £56k.. what do u say?
available next weekend? hehe.. will even chuck in the road angel plus and the tints..

Nah saying that, i can't wait for next saturday now..
he peeled off some of the white crap and sent me a pic on my phone.. looks superb.. mines got optic pack, so silver surround is black.. which makes it look a little different and looks better against the grey in my opinion..
