Replacing EGR Valves 2007 Sport HSE

Hi All

Any ideas what i should be paying to have the EGR valves supplied and fitted to my Sport HSE?

My local indy who services my car said this is a tough job, his understudy chipped in with "this will be around £1500 to do it".

Hi, Disco Mikey is the 2008 HSE the same price. Also My Fault Code is PO405,would that be left or right side unit? itisme

Hi Disco Mikey, I have pluged in and got a fault code PO405. The readout for this code is Exhaust Gas Recirculation EGR Valve position sensor A. Low input. Check if there is a wiring fault. Is (A.) Offside or Nearside .? Fault code PO406 Is sensor (B)Cheers Bow down itisme

Sorry PO406 is sensor (A ) High Input. PO407 is Sensor (B) itisme

Did you check the live readings? There are 3 position sensors in each valve...

Live readings would show up which valve is moving, and which is stuck.

FWIW, a lot of people replace them in pairs. If one has failed, the other is probably not far behind it
