Aftermarket warrantys and who too use?

Hi, any recommendations of a company I can use to buy warranty online for my sport? AA seem trustworthy but I know they hav a set max £500 claim limit. Also any companies to stay clear of and why? Anybody made a claim with one of the companies ? My car isn't covered at the mo and I'm a little worried something happens to it. Or is it worth me just saving the money up myself I would put into a warranty ? Question

I would really recommend the Land Rover Extended Warranty.
I have had this on two of my old range rovers and they have always paid out. Immediately.

I really wouldnt turn another wheel until you get a warranty sorted. I dont know how you can sleep at night knowing that LR are so unreliable sometimes.

You should be able to speak to you local dealer to get this . Smile

Thnx Siberian , My warrantys been out for over a year now would they still offer me the warranty? I got talking to someone yesterday who remind it's a 20grand repair bill to change an engine on one of these bad boys! Shocked

I've used warranty direct on both my last land rovers. As long as you follow the correct procedure (notify them prior to car going in) they will also contribute towards diagnostic time.
They also cover wear and tear on bushes etc.
£620 per year (do not accept the online quote of £1200!!) RRS gone

Saying that, next year I might give lr extended warranty a go. The car has to have a full inspection prior to a new policy but as foxy said, after that there is no quibbles on any claim (bushes are not covered on this though) RRS gone

Just renewed with Warranty Direct, way better cover than LR (that is actually Car Care Plan), incl wear & tear. Lots of info/opinion D3side in Fin & Ins section. Mr. Green

Although saying that AWD I had my bushes replaced on my old FFRR with the extended warranty.
A good thing about the LR product is that you dont have to do a lot of chasing and phonecalls the LR service reception handle everything so you never have to get involved. Smile

Yes mate, 3 to date!

2 paid up, one refused due to the actual part not covered (bush spacer worn, not actual bush) RRS gone

Service dept delt with ally claims also, all done online now via some central website that most of the insurance companies use. Only downside to WD is having to shell out 1st, then u get your money back (minus 50 excess) a few weeks later RRS gone
