Mine is a basic TDV6 S, I would recommend you give it a go, the difference is amazing, having read all the previous threads in detail and other research on the web it all seems to make perfect sense. Basically the modern diesel fuels have been over refined to reduce emmissions and all you are doing is adding additional lubrication which can only help with friction and wear and tear and it also reduces soot. When you put your foot down it used to kick out smoke and now it never does! Let me know how you get on. |

Having read a great deal about this....on here & elsewhere, I am going to give it a go!! Currently have a quite a smokey V6, a fair rattle cold, not the most responisve in the world and only getting around 23mpg with mixed driving.

According to Yamaha-fan on the fl2 site, the oil should be FC rated semisyntetic

Hi Yogibear, I have been using the Carlube 2-Stroke Motorcycle Oil XL, it conforms to the JASO FB standard that is suggested..

Well..have to say...I'm only doing 250ml per tank & half a tank down - all is good!! Far quieter, far smoother. Can't comment on mpg with the driving over the last couple of dauys...but if you are worried about mpg - you shouldn't have an RRS.
