pull relays as well, does fusebox smell burnt?
does it go to sleep, if, is drain same?
my first guess would be alternator but you said it was disconnected sure? |

You can on mine get to the alternator positive without taking wheel off, you need jacking up and please remember safety first, jack stand or something preventing personal injury if jack fails.

Not sure about yours, but on my07 (and many other vehicles) you can from underneath connect to alternator or starter and frame to get battery charged in lack of right tow bar electrics.

No to remote start.
Webasto makes heaters running on petrol, look at their site, with APP/remotes or whatever you like, not cheap  |
