You can only re-tax your car 15 days prior to its expiory date Sad

Where does it say that?

tax your car here :

http://www.vehiclelicence.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/?SKIN=directgov

I've just done it for our RRS, new tax disc to run from 1/3/07, get refund on old disc less 1 mth so total net cost £20 inc credit card fee, depending on when your renewal date was before you'll save up to 11/12ths of £75 less the £20 so net £48 AND defer the follow-on increase by 11mths beyond that..... Cheers

Next big question................................... is an RRS TDv6 considered a gas guzzler? Does anybody know what cut off emissions/engine size/mpg limits will be? Maybe not ordering a TDv8 could be going to save me more than I thought. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I guess anything with CO2 emission figures over 225 is classed as a gas guzzler Shocked Arrived - RRSport 2016 HSE SDV6 HSE

I think you'll find you're too late fellas, Road Tax changes are IMMEDIATE so you'll have to pay the increased duty. Happened to me one year as well. It does say that on the form.. prices correct subject to government change. Good luck anyway! Thumbs Up MY12 SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ebony/Piano/Sidesteps/Privacy/Overfinch Olympus/JLR DRLs

But the Treasury Budget Report gave the increase date as 22nd March...tomorrow Confused

Oh well we shall see, even if we pay new price now we should be able to renew next year saving £100 before the £400 rate comes in Wink Arrived - RRSport 2016 HSE SDV6 HSE

Did I also hear correctly on a programme that Mr Stalin Brown is going to ban the sales of all non A-rated domestic applicances? I don't think that will stop people using tumble driers in the middle of summer. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
