Yeah, it will likely be based upon emmissions as it currently is. Just a price change. My tax is up next month. , can I extend early?[/quote] OK, just retaxed mine (online so painless), new disc will run from 1/3/07, current disc expires 31/3/07 so I'll get a refund of 1 complete month (by form/post), so it cost me £17.50 to do this BUT ANY increase is offset for this and future years to as long as you are allowed. Inc the card fee of £2.50 then any increase over £20/yr and I'm in the money...and any increase for future years pushed back by 11mths.... What I don't understand is Mr Prudent's thinking on car emisions car taxation. The cost of off-setting my RRS per year is under £30, (which I do by he way), how does he come to the £400 per annum figure??? |

I know, it's a fu ing joke. How did you offset? Via the LR programe or another party? I'd like a CO2 offset sticker too for the car (when I offset). 2022 P440e AB |

The same way as it cost the government £200 to change a lightbulb.

I'll try to dig out the website shortly. Basically you can offset "x" amount of tonnes of co2 per annum by covering the cost of planting an equivalent amount of trees in various plantations throughout Britain, or providing lightbulbs for under-developed African nations. Leave it with m and I'll try to find the link. Last edited by braveheartxxxxx on Mon Mar 19 2007 3:36pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Just worked out that if we ALL carbon offset then they'll have to look for an area the size of Brazil to re-forest, infact the only area that would suit IS Brazil. Anyone think the Brazilians would ahve something to say about that??? Well someone's globally got to be in the stone-age Cheers Simon 2007 2.7HSE 20" Wheels 2005 TDV6 D3 S Auto - Zambezi Silver - JE Tune - RRS 19" - Sidesteps - Roof Rails Body Side Strips - Xenons - Bright Pack - Cold Pack - Premium Stereo Alpine Roof - Towpack - Alpine Touchscreen Satnav - Veba Rear DVD changer Alpine Roof Monitor - Webasto FBH Timer - Brembo Frt & S/C Rr Brakes |

Surely by supplying lightbulbs you are actually adding to the so called problem unless the house already has electricity! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
