I own a 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0Diesel sdv6.
for a week I have been experiencing the following problem, my limited performante at higher accelerations when I exceed 2500rpm. when I take my foot off the accelerator, the red triangle appears and I break down.. I have to stop the engine, and wait 1-2 minutes.. after which I restart it and everything is ok until the next acceleration. the diagnosis gives me the following errors:

1- p00bd-07 Mass or volume air flow of a circuit Range/performance - Air Flow Too high

2- p22d2-77 Turbocharger Turbine inlet Valve Stuck Open

3- p22cf-71 Turbocharger Turbine inlet Valve Control Circuit -Open

I am also attaching a photo with the error codes.

and around 1800-2000rpm it sounds like it's losing air somewhere. I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to sound, or do I really have a loss somewhere?

please if anyone else has been through this and solved it tell me what the solution was..
what I tried to do, I removed the plastic shield near the left wheel where the vacuum operated valve is to check if it is not blocked.. it seems to be fine!

Did you manage to resolve your P22D2-77 and P22CF-71 codes?

I have had these now for a few weeks. I have carried out a smoke test and there were no leaks and have replaced the Turbine Intake Shut off valve solenoid (LR076235). Both of which did not resolve my issue.

I am thinking it may now be the actual Accuator (LR033284)

An update on this issue.

After some extensive checking/testing by my local independent garage the solution has now pointed to the Turbine Shut off Valve for the secondary turbo (Drivers side of engine). This is part number LR023511 on my car and it has been superseded by LR128703. Problem now is that part LR128703 is out of stock at Land Rover and there is no date for when they will be back in stock.

Of course there is a good stock of a complete secondary turbo at Land Rover (LR082293) and these are supplied with that part attached.

Can anyone advise if the shut off valve can be swapped without dropping the engine down because if it can, it may be worthwhile waiting for that part to come into stock. I am sure swapping the secondary turbo would definitely be an engine out process.

An update on this issue and closure……hopefully.

The Turbine Shut off value has now been replaced. I decided to look for a Jaguar part (CD44395/C2D18390) due to the availability of the Land Rover models and managed to find one of those in stock.

The installation was carried out by NWS Motor Services near Whitchurch, Shropshire and they were most helpful. Contact is Ashley Fraser. Courtesy Car was provided at no cost and I am now considering using them for all of my future servicing requirements etc.

I also had the Throttle Body replaced a few months ago by a local independent garage when this error first started to appear as this was deemed as the lesser of two evils by them. Probably in hind sight this was now not required, but at last I should not have any issues that relate to that part during my ownership.

Now I am in the second week since the install and have travelled on the same journeys where the error codes would have occurred and; so far, we are error code free. "Every Day is a School Day"
