Charging P400e

Thinking of getting a P400e but was wondering if the 3 pin charger is fine or should I splash out & get a wall charger. Mileage will not be a lot, so don't really need a fast charge. Thoughts or problems please Range Rover Sport: Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe: 992 Porsche Carrera 4S

The basic charger works fine, do you have a cheap overnight tariff such as Octopus?

You probably will not be able to fully charge during the cheap window with a slow charger though.
However a wall charger is not cheap! 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled

Thanks for that. No cheap overnight tariff Big Cry Looks like around £1100 for a wall charger after a quick google. Get a few 3 pin charges for £1100 Thumbs Up Range Rover Sport: Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe: 992 Porsche Carrera 4S

We got a HyperVolt charger and it has been faultless. Only about £650 installed iirc

I've been considering the same, but my garage is a fair distance from the main fusebox (separate from the house), so with the cabling work involved, not worth it. You can only benefit from off-peak savings if you have a fast charger installed and the sums just don't add up for my usage.

Different gravy if I had a full EV of course, as I'd be entirely reliant upon it. 2024 RRS L461 P460e AB

Another question, I take it there is a separate battery for the internal combustion engine (or not??) & if the car is sitting for a while you can connect a Ctek to this battery to keep it charged up or does the plug in charger also feed this battery. Range Rover Sport: Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe: 992 Porsche Carrera 4S

I believe there is a smaller than normal 12 volt battery to drive the instruments, lights, etc. 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled

The plug in charger feeds the main battery and that charges the 12v battery. No need for a CTEK on that if you are regularly charging the car.
