I have a P510e MY 23 and want to keep the 12v battery trickle charged when I am away.

Firstly, is this a good idea to trickle charge this lithium battery ?
Secondly, looking for a charger most of them say they are only suitable for batteries with a BMS (battery management system). Does the RRS have a BMS on the 12v battery 2022 P510e RRS AB Frenze Red

I have the older RRS and put mine on trickle charge when I know it won’t be used for more than 2 weeks (which is quite often) Mine doesn’t have the Lithium battery but my motorbike does and that’s on trickle charge all the time. You must make sure that you get a Lithium battery charger to charge a lithium battery. Do not use a normal battery charger. All modern batteries have BMS built in now I believe

The Land Rover charger is a branded version of a CTEK charger.

I have the 12v version but also need a charger for 6v on our WW2 jeeps so one of these was recommended by my battery shop. It senses the type of battery and shows the state of charge for both 6 & 12 v too.

Does a PHEV even have a 12v battery? L461 P460e AB

I have used a CTEK for years but saw that my new D350 RRS comes with a lithium battery that needs a different kind of maintainer. Bought the CTEK Lithium XS (looks pretty much same as NXS but case is bluish).

And yes pretty sure the PHEV has a 12V too.

2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

As RRSTDV8 says, once you’re logged in to the forum, the “edit” button should appear on the lower blue bar, just inwards from the ‘quote” button.

It will only appear on comments you have written within a thread.

App or browser is immaterial.

Think I have worked it out.. I have been on the ‘mobile site’ which doesn’t seem to have those options but you can log into desktop site on a phone through browser which does..
