Hi!
New to Range Rover even that I been thinking of buying one since Evoque came out...weird I know.
Also this is gonna be a weird transition, I'm told, as I changed from a Porsche Cayman to a much bigger beast, a RRS HSE P440e thats expected to be delivered this quarter.
(also bought the car without a test drive as it hadn't come out yet hehe)

Well let's see! Hope I don't face the in/famous faulty problems I been reading around Smile

United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Firenze Red

Hi All,

Have been a life long LR owner and now considering moving from my 2014 D4 HSE to an L494. Interested to see any thoughts on having an HSE without low range / dynamic control, as I've just seen a 66 reg one yesterday which I'm very tempted by, but not having low range for some reason feel quite right. That said for any off roading is likely to be done in my 90 but I always find low range useful when reversing trailers etc.

Many thanks

Paul

Have a 1995 Epsom Green P38 4.0 V8 which keeps passing it's MOT, even so it's an "on going project" latches, EAS, Head Gaskets etc.

However they pale into insignificance compared to my 2009 ( Registered 31st December 2009 ) 3.6 TDV8 RRS. This week noticed fluid leak front offside pipes from the Dynamic Response ACE system. A bodged repair in the past which I hadn't seen is now leaking ACE/PAS fuid.

Normally able to fix the P38 myself but this problem with the Sport seems daunting and Costly.

If you are relatively mechanically competent, download the workshop manual, buy good quality parts not Chinese crap, just take your time and you will be fine for most mechanical work, electrics are a bit more complex though. And buy yourself a Gap II diag. tool.

Keep my old 4.6 P38 for 10 years and 100k. only let me down once on the road and that was a blown 10amp fuse for the fuel pump.

Cheers
Col

Thanks Col

My old P38 same, so old there's usually a fix on YouTube. Never been stuck.

I might have to bite the bullet on the Sport though and try to find an Independent who can fix the ACE pipes, from what I've seen so far, the body needs lifting.

Cheers

Rob

If you wanted to have a go yourself, do a search on the forum there are a few members who have done it themselves, I think it's only a slight lift of the body. I think your biggest problem may be getting new pipes as I believe they were on back order from the factory, can't say have ever seen pattern one's either, but to be fair haven't actually been looking.

Cheers
Col

Hello everyone :wave

Well, after a year or two away in the badlands of Japanese SUVs and pick ups I have returned to the LR fold.
Some of you may know me from such forums as defender2 and discovery3/4.

I was looking for a D3 but got fed up looking at rubbish and fell for a 2010 facelift RRS. Mileage is just over 100k but it’s had the important bits sorted. Now for the less important bits that haven’t been sorted by the previous owner :rolleyes :lol

Hello all, 👋
Brand new here, I’ve got a 2010 RRS, love it to bits and have had it for 4 years now and don’t intend to ever get rid of it.
All those rumours about unreliability, all I can say is, look after your RRS, service regularly and you’ll be happy.
I’m thinking of upgrading to a Tesla Style screen but not sure who does fits and sells the units,,, that actually work perfectly.
Regards and glad to be here. Dave
