Ive just seen an ad for a RRS wth the DPF deleted !. Is there an advantage to this 'dodgy' operation ?

Hi all,Im Paul, just saying hello. Ive been a Full Fat x 3 owner on and off for years but spotted a beautiful 2021 Sport HST in the showroom last week and i though well why not try a new adventure never ventured on before. Cant wait to see how it compares and how it performs when i pick it up next week. Wish me luck.

I have just taken delivery of MY24 new RRS Dynamic P460e
Very impressed so far with vehicle in comparison with my previous vehicle Porsche Taycan 4s CT which I thought sadly which I thought was the way forward.
However all I’ve had for past year was heartache and grief with its lack of reliability & lack of vendor support not to mention eye watering depreciation
So looking forward to my RRS being better.
My partner drives a my 24 RR Evoque which is just like a smaller version nonetheless is a very capable small SUV with a lot of good features.
Now looking forward to a new journey with less hassle.

Hi I'm Chris and just bought a 2010 RRS 3.0 TDV6 with 127k on the clock.

Having read a great deal about various engines and other models like the L332 I came across the RRS with an engine and turbo rebuild 1 year/5k miles ago and decided to take the plunge. Unfortunately it's come without service history but an above average MOT pass rate but at £4000 was too good a deal to refuse. The drive is smooth and like nothing else I've owned.

It's been a bit neglected recently so quite dirty inside and lots of trim needing refixing. As I also own a 2010 Jaguar XKR the difference in build quality is stark. The RRS uses cheaper plastics more prone to going brittle and fading than the Jag. What I've fixed so far:

Replaced broken number plate lights with LED
Replaced broken interior cabin light
Fitted LED bulbs in overhead console and boot
Re-gassed the aircon.
Vaxed the carpets and cleaned all the interior
Glued the broken centre armrest latch hook
Replaced the glass tailgate switch but still not opening
Replaced broken trim clips on door exterior trim
Repainted the tailgate release button with Plastikote
Changed the key fob case

Planned maintenance:

ATF fluid change
Transfer case and diff oil changes
Investigate why the electric steering adjustment isn't working
Rust treat the fuel lines in the wheel arch
Service the handbrake shoes
Repaint the roof spoiler, front bumper and various tatty panels
Find out where the emergency entry lock is.
Repaint the exterior door mouldings and windscreen scuttle with Plastikote
Get a 2nd key fob programmed - it's keyless so no ignition key
Replaced the climate knobs which have gone greasy
Possibly replace the climate unit which has a broken plastic display on the passenger heat control
Replace the cabin filter

So plenty to do and looking forward to the improvements, and to engaging with the RRS community
