Hi Col,

They list LR016245 and LR016246 as a seat base element, I'm guessing the first one is for a HSE type seat and perhaps the other for AB's ?

The foam pad is the same in the a/b don't see any reason the heating element would be different.

Cheers
Col

Ah ok, perhaps I needed to order LR016246 instead then ?

I'm in contact with LR Direct who I placed the order with, I'll update on the outcome. Thanks Col

Many thanks

Just looked at L/R microcat parts list says LR016245 is for Taurus Leather/PVC what ever that looks like and LR016246 is for Windsor Leather/Alacantra.

Cheers

That's just typical, the heating element I need, LR016246, is currently out of stock and is on back order Big Cry

Looks like I'll have to fit the new base without the element as I need to use the RRS in a couple of weeks.

Many thanks

Can you not try and gently peel the old one of the foam and use some spray on adhesive to stick it on the new foam, assuming the heater was still working of course, might be worth a try.

Cheers

Hi Col,

Well, being the idiot I am, I cut through the material to remove the rods in the foam. I know, I'm a total idiot.

Many thanks

Right, that's that job done. Picked up the correct element from the dealer at 8 this morning and its all back in. Must admit the new foam does feel alot better.

Thanks for your guidance guys, always appreciated

Many thanks

Sorry to ressurect an old thread but I just thought I'd let you guys know I replaced my driver's seat base today.

My local main dealer Land Rover parts desk told me that the seat base was on back order and they couldn't get them for 4 to 6 weeks. However, our forum sponsor, Advanced Factors in Southampton were able to order the base direct from Land Rover and get it to me within 3 working days Confused Fantastic service as always, especially with the current 12% discount code Thumbs Up

I reused my existing heated seat element as it separated easily enough from the old base.

If anyone is considering doing this, I recommend it. It's dead easy and doesn't take long to do at all.

Hi knwatkins, appreciate this is a very old post!

I have the same seats in mine, can you recall the part number for the foam base? Was it HGB500050?

Cheers!

No HGB500050 is for pre-facelift and facelift SE's, you need LR021399 for HSE/AB facelift variants or that is what is the one I used.

Cheers
