They look like brake pads on my phone ?! I got mine from advanced factors who are a forum sponsor. Give them your car and they’ll get you the correct bit.

When I replaced the foam seat pad I used the LR021399 the 500050 is for the pre-facelift or the later SE's. The only other thing you might need is the heated seat element LR016246 but try and salvage your old one as they have become very expensive now, compared with what they used to be.

Cheers

Thanks JonnyCJ and Col, its just seems strange that a couple of sites show the LR021399 as 4 foam pads and not a seat base pad, weird.

Well the order has been dispatched by LRDirect, including a new heat pad, so I'll see what arrives.

Many thanks

If you are referring to the parts illustration you posted where it shows valance-seat cushion, that is for the pieces of plastic trim that goes to the side and front of the cushion squab.

Thanks Col, so I'm guessing that Britcar just used the wrong illustration

Many thanks

There is nothing wrong with the illustration it is showing all the parts for the seat, it is only showing two seat cushion foam pads for uk spec. cars and the Vin No. at which they changed.

Sorry Col, I mean this picture from Britcar, the one you are relating to is from JLR Classic Parts

Many thanks

Thumbs Up Certainly looks like it, might have to have a re-think as was about to get a price on some parts from them and compare them to LRdirect.

Hi folks, stupid question time, do I need to disconnect the battery prior to removing the base due to the airbags at all. I know the base hasn't got any installed.

Many thanks

I can confirm you don’t need to disconnect the battery.
That is as long as you are only removing the seat base.
It is actually a benefit to have the battery connected so you can move the seat.
It is just the 4 x Torx bolts. I can’t remember the size. T45 maybe but easy enough but you may end up offering a blood sacrifice to the Rang Rover gods 🥴

I actually replace those stupid torx screws with flange headed bolts and heavy duty washers when I did mine, as they appear to be made of cheese did the passengers side at the same time as a precaution if it ever needed to be removed.

Thanks guys.

Right, slight problem, I ordered both a new seat base foam pad and new heating element for said pad.

I've removed the seat base and removed the leather cover etc. The heating element I ordered was part no LR016245. I part I received was the correct part number on the bag labels but its not right. See the pictures

Looking on the net it would seem they have sent me a back element

I actually used LR016246 not sure if that is the difference or you have the wrong item in the right packet.

Cheers
