Can this be done with IID tool? I have misplaced my mongoose cable.

Look for "Steering sensor renew", the IID manual says it does it for L322, but the manual is kinda old so maybe it is available with your unit. Regards etc.,

Cheers. I think it’s my battery causing all, wish the damn thing would hurry up!
First pic is when running for 30 secs. Second is after a few minutes.

That looks fairly normal. After startup the BMS lets things stabilize before it tells the alternator to start pushing power.

How did you get the voltage to display on the dash though? Haven’t seen that before.

Ahh, that would explain it.

By the way, my voltage drops lower than that after startup and I don’t have the issues you’re having, so still in doubt it’s the battery. Unless you’re starting voltage is like 12.3 and drops to 11.5 after startup. 2011 RRS HSE Luxury 3.0 TDV6 Fuji White on Ebony/Ivory

Defo battery. Wouldn’t start this morning 😂🙈
Imho anything under 12.3v after a night is extremely low. I really hope it’s just this, faults galore since it started and was defo harder to start the past few weeks.

IID tool does it when plugged in and that makes sense as to why it stays low a min or two.

11.5v before startup, you’re screwed. 11.5v after startup wouldn’t surprise me. 12.6-12.8v overnight is ideal. Mine takes a little beating with the timed heater, but if I check it before it kicks on it’ll show me 12.6-12.8v most mornings, unless it’s down around -10° or lower. I’ll check mine right now as I’m about to leave, although my timed heater is running as I type this. 2011 RRS HSE Luxury 3.0 TDV6 Fuji White on Ebony/Ivory

Aye it’s under 12 to start. Cold here just now, think it was -10 this am. I also agree the times climate finished the battery off, but in fairness it’s 10 years old now so it’s done well. Still no sign of the one I ordered 🙄

Mine read 12.4v just as the timed climate finished its 30 minute run. 12v right after start up. 12.6v about 15 seconds in. 13.4v about 30 seconds in. 14.7v once I started driving a bit.

This is also with the headlights on. Heated seats and steering wheel came on after the 30 second check, voltage didn’t change from that till I started driving. 2011 RRS HSE Luxury 3.0 TDV6 Fuji White on Ebony/Ivory

There does appear to be a differing opinion on which type battery fits these cars a 019/17 or a 020, which some say they have fitted, however on mine there was no way a 020 was going to fit without forcing it in. The 019 fits straight in the carrier no problem as its about 40mm shorter than the 020, whether it makes a difference not sure but mine is the 5.0L S/C not a diesel.

Cheers
Col
