On that basis, I wouldn't worry about 4 previous keepers affecting resale value. If you keep it 4 years it'll be around 7-8 years old and resale value will be more down to miles and condition by that point. As for knowing what they're like to drive, it's a great excuse to go for a few test drives. Comparing it to the Evoque isn't helpful. The Evoque is more car like and you could be forgiven for forgetting you're in a SUV. The RRS is bigger, higher up, heavier and just obviously a different beast. Way more capable too, of course, should you ever feel the need to get it dirty. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

Yeah pre-reg are great deals, I don't see so many these days though. |

Always good to find an excuse for a test drive Bit of a trek though that's the only issue, so would like to know as much about it as possible for making the journey. |

This year I brought a 14 plate supercharged, it’s had 4 owners and a full service history, within the first month I had the gear selector switch break, very common I am told and it’s just come out the workshop with £750 bill front suspension which started knocking over bumps. My take on this is it’s a Range Rover, you should expect some bills with it or buy something completely different, I also run a modern classic 911 and Landrover Defender, I know I am a sucker for punishment, on the plus side I get invited to the Garages Christmas party. 😁 |

My 2007 TDV8 Sport has had 4 previous owners, I purchased it 3 years ago & it came with a massive service history which put my mind at rest. I've spent around £2000 on it with servicing & minor repairs at a brilliant independent, I've had around 40 vehicles in total since 1971 but the RRS is undoubtedly the best of the bunch. |

I bought a SAAB from their Business Demonstrator fleet, so was the second owner.

Well I've told them I'm not interested in that particular RRS anymore as the PCP figures are just crazy, plus the offer for my car is poor, so I'll continue to look.

I found it better to sell via "Motorway" to get the best price.

Yeah I always check these kinds of companies but always try and get dealerships to get close as it's less faff |

I think number of drivers is probably more important.

The problem with that is that you're using LR dealership workshops to do the work - assuming you get through the "investigation" stage, of course. That's where they charge you to have a look at it before they even decide what's wrong and before they approach the warranty company. The warranty is a third party warranty, by the way, and so isn't "LR Warranty" at all. There really are few, if any, positives to buying second hand from a LR dealer. May as well by from a decent specialist and get your own warranty. Probably work out cheaper and any work that is required will probably be done correctly first time - unlike LR dealerships. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |
