Always good to find an excuse for a test drive Bit of a trek though that's the only issue, so would like to know as much about it as possible for making the journey.

This year I brought a 14 plate supercharged, it’s had 4 owners and a full service history, within the first month I had the gear selector switch break, very common I am told and it’s just come out the workshop with £750 bill front suspension which started knocking over bumps. My take on this is it’s a Range Rover, you should expect some bills with it or buy something completely different, I also run a modern classic 911 and Landrover Defender, I know I am a sucker for punishment, on the plus side I get invited to the Garages Christmas party. 😁

That's why I'm looking at used approved for the 12 month warrant

my 2006 sport has had 7 previous owners last owner spent lot of money on it having work done only reason she sold it is because she was tiered of spending money on it
like previous people have said they cost a bit to maintain if your handy with spanners and have a good diagnostic tool you can keep costs down your self
it just the time and parts that will set you back and you should save on labour fees thats where I see most prices rocket up when rrs are fixed

My 2007 TDV8 Sport has had 4 previous owners, I purchased it 3 years ago & it came with a massive service history which put my mind at rest. I've spent around £2000 on it with servicing & minor repairs at a brilliant independent, I've had around 40 vehicles in total since 1971 but the RRS is undoubtedly the best of the bunch.

I bought a SAAB from their Business Demonstrator fleet, so was the second owner.

At one point, as my wife was the main driver, it was cheaper to insure it in her name, however she had to be the registered keeper.

When we divorced, I had to register it back in my name, therefore although having only two owners in reality, the V5 would show 4.

It's the car you are buying, not the paperwork, not every 'alarm bell' goes off.

Yeah I always check these kinds of companies but always try and get dealerships to get close as it's less faff

I think number of drivers is probably more important.
Wifes car is an ex hire car so probably a different driver every day in its first year. Zero problems so far (thats done it!).
Until the RRS two years ago, I was a high miler and always bought quality 4-5 year old ex company cars with 70-90k miles. Serviced by the book usually, and with that mileage, probably mostly motorway miles. I kept them for 4 years or 100k or thereabouts. The majority of faults I had with them were electrical rather than mechanical.
Cheaper to buy and similar depreciation to one with half the mileage. Worked for me (have never felt the need nor had the money for brand new). RRS HSE Dynamic SDV6 2014
