Replaced the troublesome pcv pipe with a new home made rubber effort x2 22mm to 19mm reducer 45 degree elbows. You have to remove the throttle body todo this and I'm glad I did the gasket on the throttle body was wet it looks like it's been sucking in oil from the pcv pipe connection on the back of the housing.
No pictures I'm afraid.

This week's fault and I didn't know until it happend

Managed to find and fix another fault....the supercharged coolant pump packed up as per my other post regarding this issue iv rewired it the correct way round as its been running backwards since 2006 gave it a whack with the end of my screw driver and its working a good un. New pump on order just incase the brushes don't re profile nicely.

Iv also put on hold chasing the random cold start misfires as there is little to no logic to them as can be seen by the misfire counts. After a brain storming session they could be triggerd by the snout bearing being totally fecked and the knock sensors reading this as random misfires.......you can here the snout bearing on idle and feel it threw the engine and even if you place your hand on the airbox you can feel the rumble......time to pull the sc.
Final coat of paint went on the wheel and I think I like it I'm unsure if I want to clear coat it.

Aux coolant pump replacment

Decided to swop out my failing supercharged aux cooling pump it was wired back to front from factory but dispite my rewiring it correctly and the pump running after a whack with the end of a screw driver it just didn't recover.

I read a few old how to guides but they all seemed a bit erm crap...wish I had taken some photos.
I can confirm removing the headlight is pointless, to swop out the coolant pump was pretty easy in the end.
Remove fan couling
Unplug the electrical connector from the bottom of the pump access is via the black plastic cover removed by x4 push fit rivets.
Remove x1 left hand side aux clamp bolt as you look down at it 8mm don't even try to undo the right hand side clamp bolt. The only thing holding it in place are the x2 hoses, unclip these but NOT at the pump end. X1 hose at the top T piece and x1 at the rad end.
Then it's just a case of pulling the pump up and out from the tiny little space it lives in, you will need to wiggle it a bit and feed the long hose threw but it will come out.

Now you have your old aux pump with hoses attached on the deck swop them over to your new pump and refit in reverse, top up and bleed. You won't lose much coolant either so don't worry.
Total job time maybe 35 mins.

New tyres fitted last week, wheel alignment done today. Last couple of jobs left on the list.
SC snout bearings and maybe a smaller pulley
Bit of paint on the body to sort.
Wheel referb to finish.

Then I think its finished and ready to use.

New Zealand 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Rimini Red

love the wheel color! I've got a Rimini red 2005 with wheels colored to match the Titanium trim. Just grabbed some spares recently and had 2 refurbed. Will swap tires and refurb another 2 etc.

Good choice of color if you ask me. Silver is boring

Time to address the paint with a bit of light correction, it needs paint on the roof some of its missing, that's another day and I'm replacing the rear bumper at some point.

This is the state of external C pillar

After a bit of correction but offside one

Scratches around the handles pretty much gone now

Back door, rear quarter panel, rear and front doors done rain has stopped play.
