ok added a usb microphone and now that works fine.

Unit is back in the car , but still having problems with Bluetooth phone calls. i cannot hear the other person speaking.

im still getting a mechanical clicking sound form the unit when the microphone activates . Im wondering if its trying to trigger the little speaker they give with the unit as i also get the same clicking from the tomtom navigation i have installed when it says directions.

but it isn't doing nothing .

China doesn't seem interested .

Not really much of an update.

Satnav hardly picked up any satellites in the car , replaced GPS antenna and it worked a lot better !

Still a problem with this unit which i think is the issue for Bluetooth calls and satnav directions . Basically the internal clicking sounds like something is trying to engage when certain apps are used .

for. e.g. bluetooth phonecalls . It clicks at the begning of the call and i can hear no one , on the satnav it clicks on and off randomly when saying directions.

I do have a feeling its trying to engage the internal speaker some how but just isnt working

It hit a brickwall as soon as i mentioned about bluetooth telephone. I think they new there was issues with it all along. Its the only thing they didnt attempt to fix.

No corraspondance at all any more from them. Its a shame as i was willing obviously to test it all for them despite being a paying customer.

I imagine it could be used fine if you use your built in bluetooth phone.

I did hear about a possible replacement app that an evoque member suggested.

Looks like it can do SMS and Phone calls. But! for some reason this unit says it has a app with the similar name when installing the app above.

Im not sure , As the microphone works fine and they can hear me.

Its the Output from the other person, Its like cutoff when that relay clicks.

The relay makes no difference on google voice as it doesnt output any sound .

Its like the relay "Click" is used to stop sound output when activated . Which obviously mucks up the sound output on the phone.

Have a bit of spare time , so have ordered the car-play/android auto adapter.

I believe this unit has built in wireless car-play but the Android auto required a wired connection. I believe i need the dongle for it to work.

I have ordered one from eBay UK , and giving it a test run.

lets see how it goes

No need for an adapter for Android Auto.

Download the Head unit reloaded app and you can wirelessly transmit AA from your phone when used with the sister app WiFi Launcher.

I use it and it's pretty much perfect.

Have you paid for it Guyzer ?

The trial edition seems to run a little laggy for me ( pixel 3 xL) using the USB cable to try it .

Is that because the trial is limited ?
