I think there’s an option to calibrate the touchscreen in one of the engineer modes, have you tried that? 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Also forgot to mention on previous posts .

You don't lose the factory sat nav , The android interface is accessed by a 5 second hold on the touch screen !

Despite not using the original terrible satnav , I also didnt want to loose it as i liked on the original OEM screen it showed you what road you was down Very Happy

Ok progress has been made.

MCU upgraded firmware .. Touchscreen now works on OEM interface.

Aux Selected - Music works fine Very Happy , Looks like it does tap into the harness ( no need to run cable to back )

Didn't notice at first, but ! this comes with built in 4G , so dont even need a dongle ( sim card plugs into the Screen side slot)

Going to chop off the lugs on the discovery 4 bracket and make sure it all fits with the trim.

Looking better Very Happy

Good news. I hope the trim all fits together well.

I’ve looked at a number of these different options in the past and I’m amazed the Chinese manufacturers don’t cater for the RRS more. Take the Tesla style, they don’t do a RRS RHD trim. It’s only plastic and I’m convinced they could do a RHD piece within a few minutes on CAD.

And I assume the screen you’ve bought doesn’t have a RRS trim even though I think it stated it was for a Sport or Disco. They must be missing out on a substantial market seeing as the UK, NZ, Aus and SA have RHD vehicles.

Did you have to edit the CCF to remove the Dual View files or did it just work with the tech update? 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Following in anticipation. Great progress.

When you get a chance could you try something for me please?

Startup Waze and set it to navigate somewhere, hold for 5 sec until you get the OEM screen.

Does the sound cut out from Waze? (You may need to drive to get it to talk)

When you go back to the android screen does the sound come back (if it stopped) and is Waze still navigating or did it close and the navigation has gone?

I think the default map software is google maps on this stereo , would you like me to try it with that ?

Also unsure if i can access the OEM menu with a 5 second touch on the screen, i know i can access the android that way .. Unsure on the OEM interface, there is a button on the home screen.

I just wanted to see how it handles sound and app, if it cuts the audio when you move between the OEM and Android screen and also if it shuts down the navigation app when you switch between them. Does that make sense?

I must say I am very jealous now, cleaner install, much faster hardware and access to things like google assistant etc with the updated android version

I think I may end up swapping mine out for this.

Its one of them things i think you need to see in the flesh , I was kinda apprehensive about buying one as i didnt want to ruin the OEM look of the screen . But i am very impressed with the way it sits on the dashboard.

I have had items open ( like google maps) and it keeps them open if i switch to the OEM . I can bring them back up again from the top right corner.
