It looks like it could have been for some kind of charger to keep the battery charged if stood,,chase the wires & see if they go to the battery. Andy.

Had that on my 2017 model year, it was a connection for the soft close drivers door, leaves the factory unplugged and then connected before collection, |

They don’t make a wiring loom dependant and what options your car has, that would be expensive

It this was a Jaguar I'd say it was where the 'transit relay' was plugged in. (only had my RRS for 6 months, but owned Jags for 7 years beforehand- both my Jags had this.) Protects the battery from going flat in between manufacture and delivery. The Jag one is green and has connections to receive a two-pin male on it. Would be logical if Land Rover used the same system. 2013 L494 5.0 SC in Chile Red |

Aha....thanks Three-Six Charlie, I think you've hit the nail on the head I've not come across a 'transit relay' before but a bit of googling found a post on another LR forum which although referring to a different LR model, the photo shows an identical connector and a description that matches what you have described. https://www.landroverworld.org/threads/wiring-question.27703/ Explains why the connector and cable on mine are just 'floating about'. My OCD will require me to cable tie it out of the way 2016 L494 SDV8 AB 2014 Nissan Leaf Tekna 1989 Toyota MR2 MK1b |
