21” tyres creating traction problems?

Hi guys, took the stock 19 alloys off my 56 plate rrs and put on some new 275/45r21 alloys and tyres, still a nice smooth comfy ride, but when going around roundabouts (not fast) the traction control kicks in and i lose power, fine on straights and left/right turns.....anyone else had this problem, or know a solution? Ive heard it could be a dodgy ABS sensor, but why would it only play up on roundabouts? Any help would be appreciated 👍🏻

I’m sure the early sports weren’t designed for anything bigger than the 19’s as the steering rack wasn’t up-to them.it was around early 2007 that they change the rack for the 20’s to be fitted. Andy.

Cheers tyrefitter, well it is an early 2007, but that could possibly be the problem, steering is lovely and light though (too light in my opinion). I know the wheels aren’t meant to fit the L320, but theres no issues with rubbing anywhere, just the speedo being slightly out....and this sodding traction problem.

I shall go and check the rake out 👍🏻 Although i dont think that would be the traction issue would it?

Check your VIN doesn't sit between these

5A900505 - 6A917472

If it does you will need to go back to 19's or drive very slowly around roundabouts.. ===========================================

My 2005 RRS had 20" wheels on when bought it 2 years ago. No problems all. Interestingly the VIN is between the numbers Autobiography1969 quotes above. - Just checked... mine has damped steering gear as per the link above. Barrie.

Just quoting the VIN numbers from "geoffsnook" post as its an important detail in the recall/service bulletin..

As with all these things there are always ones that have no issues at all and others that will suffer more,

A leak wont help at all though.. ===========================================

4 wheel alignment can make a massive difference to the feel and ride of your car just make sure they know what they are doing as places haven’t got a clue where to start with these cars
