With all the glitches and faults on the MY18 I would think JLR Media department are doing everything they can do to keep journalist out of the cars until they are on top of the problems. Not all potential customers go on sites like this to research problems, but most people read a news paper |

I have asked my dealer about what the MY18 sounds like and he was unable to tell me. I think others here have also enquired but I have not read anybody state that LR or a dealer has confirmed that the sound is the same as the previous SVR. However, JPR has said that he has heard one and it sounds exactly the same as the previous one - see "2018 SVR Sound" post. I have told my dealer already that if the MY18 does not sound exactly the same as the previous SVR or if it is muted, I will consider not accepting the car as I am purchasing it under the assumption that the sound is the same. Iβve bailed Partly due to dealer being so poor not replying to e mails, confirming terms and spec, and then on seeing the MY 18 SVR I wasnβt taken with the βimprovementsβ, also JLR seem to have dropped the ball with their electronics and development. I do regret returning the original car despite the wrong spec as much prefer the interior ( not a touch screen fan too many finger prints ) and the old seats where much more my thing. Picking up a Porsche Macan GTS in a few weeks then I will watch the second hand market to see how SVRs fair with a mind to pick one up later in the year Must say Porsche dealers much more on the ball, |

Agree re Porsche dealerships, when had my 911 Turbo S, out of all the marques I've been with, Porsche were the best, East London dealership were just amazing with me. Got free driving days at Silverstone, was even invited to join a Porsche Rally of 100 cars from London to Paris to the Mandarin Oriental Paris for a meal and champagne reception etc....cant speak highly enough of them!

I guess its because the car is just the same albeit with cosmetic changes! New lights, bumpers, trims and leather so not much to really write home about? Guess the extra BHP on the SVR may be worth a side column in a future auto express but I donβt see them doing a full out review for a facelift. |

I'll second that regarding Porsche dealers dealt with the West London OPC and they were amazing especially compared to the LR.

So after having my SVR for two years this February I have just done a deal with the local dealer in Jersey for a refresh in Velocity Blue.
