Hey, mmmm no nothing!!! Ordered it 3 weeks ago and as got special paint (initially matte finish, then changed to just ultra metallic) my dealer saying is probably reason its not been taken up yet by the factory. Im beginning to wonder whether to change to non SVO paint but dealer says it would only make a c.2 week difference in delivery date.

Was promised the dealership had SVR slots for end of March, likely mid April and now not so sure when will get it...looks like going into May?!?

As its not taken up yet, I'm going to change interior tomorrow (I'm sure my salesmen thinks I'm taking the now haha) from Ebony/Pimento to just Ebony/Ebony with the extra red paddles.

The red pimento, whilst looks nice in my evoque, is more extended in the SVR and think it will be too much.

Our SVR is in build now, delivery due in a few weeks but I can tell you this, LR already advised our dealer that they are not accepting any SVO paint order until at least May at the earliest, so delivery would be wlll into June. Your order will just sit there pal. Current

Oh that does not sound good for Alf, Borealis Black . I like the sound of the red and black interior though.
I think Nods will be all black so you will be able to see his as its due any time now, so his dealer says but he could have meant Jan Feb 2019....

Well ive literally just got off the phone to my dealer and was worried it had been delayed but goods news, its all built, at SVO as we speak for final quality checks on the SVO paint etc, then its getting called to dealer in1-2 weeks, so on target! Current

Great news JPR, can't wait to see it. 18 reg then.  SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.

Spent a bit of time on phone to salesman today and we tested by putting a dummy order in with same SVR spec as mine but with only metallic paint not ultra metallic and it was accepted straight away...tried a few times and got dates 2nd and 3rd weeks of May delivery. So its most certainly the Ultra paint job why has not been picked up yet in system since ordered it 3 weeks ago.

So have a decision to make...i want the car before June before hols etc , so may just go with normal metallic (likely black) and save £3k and get earlier

Have changed the interior to Ebony/Ebony with Red Paddles for contrast with red bits of SVR logo and red callipers outside....still would look awesome. So I have a plan with dealer...will let you know what happens shortly  MY18 Range Rover Sport SVR (18' - current)

Well, those 3 colours have certainly been under my particular (well worn) microscope in recent times.
Obviously a colour will always be a personal choice, but I would stay well clear of the Black, consider the Corris (that does look good) but in the end go with Estoril, which suits the car down to the ground
Have never liked Blue cars but have to say that this car, in this blue, is the dogs b***ocks

I think the reason why the Blue is so popular is because it looks so good!
I, like you wanted something a bit different the first time around and went for the Black with the Tan leather, sounds great but the reality was that the Black did nothing at all for the car, all the nice grills etc just disappeared whereas on the lighter colours they stand out nicely.
Imo the cost for the more expensive colours are just not worth the extra money (or wait) when it looks so good in the Estoril, if there were 1000’s of them knocking around everywhere then it would be a problem but the reality is they are still as rare as rocking horse sh*te, even in lovely Estoril!

Alf that sounds good, as three weeks ago i tried to order with lookers west London and they could not supply a car until the end of June. The reason given was a problem with the 22" black wheels. SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.

My dealer has gone awfully quiet. Last I heard from them was they were waiting for it to be released by Quality Control, second time round.
Worst part is, I shoot off soon on a business trip for a month or so.
Just bugs me that we cannot get a straight answer from them. Although to be fair I guess JLR don't seem to give straight answers at all !! RRS SVR 2018
