Nothing else needs to come off. It wiggles out |

I think the last on the list of jobs for me to do for LH side is to take the EGR valve off the LH side, then take out the exhaust manifold bolts in order for me to take the head off completely. Is that correct?

You may not need to remove the plastic wheel arch. I didn't in drivers side.

Got most of the heat shields, EGR valve, height sensor, remaining plugs etc; off... but I'm struggling a bit with the last bolt on the manifold, it's the bolt that is at the bottom and nearest the bulkhead.

Great, thanks Andy. That gives me a bit more confidence to put more ooomf into getting the last turbo pipe off, as I wasn't aware it was attached to a flexi pipe. RRS 2.7 HSE Stornoway Grey

OK, so far the six manifold bolts, the turbo oil pipe banjo bolt and the turbo flex rubber pipe (the one with the jubilee clips) are all off but the manifold still feels very much stuck to the head. I tried prizing the manifold away from the head and it comes away from it very little.

I think the manifold can stay there. You have ensured it is loose. (which is good) Need to wriggle the head free and into the V Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Any valve marks on pistons to give clues?

Cleaned up pistons best I could but don't see any visual marks on them.
