Best of luck, I'm not sure I would want to rewire and sort several issues out that can occur, Airbags, and curtain airbag wiring etc. Wink John

It looks worse than it really was, def wouldnt take on a completely destroyed one, this was scorch and isolated flame damage really. The wiring looms were pretty much undamaged. The only ones affected were the main dash harness which i replaced completely, all plug and play connectors... and the roof harness again has a plug connector to remove and reinstall a new one.
Im hoping this minimises faults but im sure there will be something that pops up! Very Happy
Decided when i bought it that if i was going to do it i might aswell do it right so thats why i gutted everything, there were bits that could have been saved but id rather just change it all to be sure.

Parts have been sourced all over the place really, kent4x4 and MMJ provided a lot along with another seller on ebay.

The only parts iv yet to buy is a headcloth and a nav screen, everything else is there Very Happy

I'd be getting the thing running first before spending money on a lovely interior.

well i cant really do that @andy k as i need an instrument cluster which is coming as a package deal with the dash. remember i know this car, it belonged to a friend, so i know the mechanicals are all good. if i had of bought it knowing nothing about it then as you say, getting it running would have been priority.

bit of an update...

managed to get her fired up over the weekend! yay! Spent around 6 hours with a multi meter tracing the medium speed Canbus as I was unable to communicate with the BCM module. This was stopping me doing any coding or starting the car!

Got my new clocks coded, recoded the keys, dash mostly fitted and shes running. No faults other than transmission fault, but im pretty sure its the shifter as its original and no doubt got soaked.

Well done Bow down
It's always worth looking on the sister forum's (Disco 3/4) for tech help and parts. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

RR Sport and Disco are basically the same, just that the Disco has a van like skin. Plus the Disco boys are more into tweaking and DIY repairs, whereas we are more into polishing. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
