Not having any issues ref brake squeal with my April 15 AB Diesel with 11k ...or before with a 13 plate AB. Has something changed ref pads since then? However, I'm quite gentle on the brakes preferring to use the paddle shifts instead to reduce speed...to save wear and brake dust! I'm a bit ocd ref brake dust |

For what it's worth, my recently purchased 2015 HSE (10,000 miles) also squeak under very light braking.

My car is booked in on Thursday for the third attempt to cure the squeal, which is present at all times when the car is being driven.

Perhaps their solution will involve removing more and more pad until it stops or perhaps removing them completely! I'm no RRS expert but the current model has been in production since 2013....if the fault that people are currently experiencing is a characteristic of the model dealerships would be very familiar with the symptoms and how to resolve it..in my case they have changed multiple sets of pads, disks and a wheel bearing. Something somewhere within the construction process has been changed or is out of tolerance. I'm sorry but modifying factory produced pads is not something that should be necessary on modern high end cars....it IS a bodge. As for people doing it to their classic cars, fine, people used to put saw dust in their gearboxes if they were noisy, I can remember putting an egg in the rad of MK1 escort to try to stop a leak....I wouldn't deem these fixes satisfactory now either. |

I'm just sat here wondering what my next move should be if the brake problem remains unresolved after the third visit?

Mine has this but only at very low breaking speeds and seems to be the left rear only.

Tell the dealership to use some copper paste between the pads and the springs and use brake grease on the cilinders (rubbers),

Well I had a quick chat with my friendly LR salesman who confirmed that LR have apparently issued a bulletin regarding this squealing brakes issue. Apparently the discs should be replaced.
