Hi, on puling away i get a shunting feeling towards the rear of the car, and every time i slow right down and accelerate the same again. If i pull over and turn off, Restart after 10 seconds it has gone and back to silky smooth |

Hi Bodsy and thanks for the reply. i did think the gearbox oil was coming to the end of its life and i did wonder if it needed changing. I will be in touch soon to sort out my EGR's and also a gearbox reset, got it back now after having someone chop the bumper off and it looks good, thanks again. 2007, HSE, Cairnes Blue, Factory tints, Love it !!! |

Also check the rear prop mounting, very guilty for collapsing

Hi Mikey, thanks for the reply, its fine over 20mph but when below it feels like the prop (rear) has 1 bolt left to undo |

Ok folks, done it again today. Pulled away and thought the prop shaft was loose, no oil in the rear diff, clunking symptom up to 15 MPH. I stopped, turned off for 10 seconds and restarted, smooth as silk thereafter. No sticking EPB or rear pads and its not a misfire, Do i need a gearbox reset ??? Every time i restart it has gone altogether |

You can try this...
...but it seems it doesn't work on all vehicles, in which case you need a diagnostic tool - just a 5 minute routine. ![]() 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 Auto HSE Zambezi Silver ![]() |
