Hi all, new to all this... Looking for some answers to my RRS tdv8 having a few problems with the warning lights on the dash.
Park brake fault
Stability control not available
Forward alert not available
Emergency brake assist not available
Gearbox fault

All came up at once so am thinking it maybe a sensor or something as the car still drives fine, any info would be great thanks...

Also what's the best way to lower my car a little (around access hight) so it will stay there while driving or is it beat to leave a alone....
Cheers

Hellow to all

I became the new owner of 2016 RRS couple of days ago.
Expecting a lot of good information on RRS, I wish my choice of RRS as my first SUV to be a wonderful one on top of my 16-year old BMW525i.

Hi All

So Im not quite an owner yet... but thats why Im here.

I have the opportunity to purchase a RANGE ROVER SPORT HSE 3.6 TDV8. ( hopefully the pictures will show ) 57 plate with 128k on the clock. full service history and has had ( from what I can see from reading on here ) the usual replaced.
Externally it is excellent condition, newly refurbed wheels, tyres are MAY 16 MOT is due AUG 16. Internal is alot nice now Ive had a chance to clean it all up. Engine bay is sound, looks like its been lovingly cleaned - Ive had that checked over and no leaks etc.

It does seem to have the f/o side knock that they get ( from what I can tell thats a common thing? ) is this something to worry about?

Any advice would be helpful... Im more conscious of the mileage more than anything...

Nice to meet you all.

Hope to be an owner of a RRS within next couple of months.

Looking at an Early one 2005-08.

Only ever owned 2 seater sports cars so this is going to be a new experience for me, but with a baby on route and a wife who loves the RRS its a no brainer.

Will be looking around the site for advice.

And who knows, maybe a nice one comes up for sale on here too. Very Happy

Since you've come from from sports cars then L would be looking towards a TDV8 or S/C they both have abit more performance than the v6's but also uprated brakes and suspension which might make you feel a little bit more at home, even if you are sitting about 3 feet higher than before ...

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

But in an M3 you cannot see the scenery as you are so low and concentrating on not venturing off road if there is a spot of dampness on the road. One thing you will find with the RRS is that the UK does have some magic countryside over the hedges and that in an RRS is is so nice to sit back and take it a bit slower and enjoy the comfort - the trip goes by just as fast when you aren't trying to be the fastest on the road! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I really like the rrs for the reasons you say , I just sit back and cruise, no stress, no racing and no backwards thro the bush !

Hi everyone,

Currently own a Puma 2.4 and a D4 SDv6, but with the stories of the SDv6 breaking cranks, I am considering trading it in for an RRS TDv8.

So I'm here looking for a buyer's guide Very Happy

Hi All,

newbie here. Looking for a change from a BMW X5 sport. Has been a good car, but feel like I need to drive a RRS now.

There seems to be plenty knocking about, but would appreciate and major pitfalls to avoid. No doubt will be glued to this forum for the next few days...

Thanks,
