I can open the full boot lid but the button for the glass lid has stopped working. What can I do to open it to replace the switch? Thanks Chris

Welcome to the forum common issue have you tried pushing it down directly above the switch then toggle the keyfob - ( close - open ) - it may release that way - good luck . 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Thanks Peachy. I will give that ago tomorrow. It used to work intermittently but as now stopped working altogether. At least I can still get in the boot via the full lid

The switch historically corrodes - approx £20 for a new one 10 minutes to replace - they can be cleaned up but it means braking the rubber seal - IMO better to replace  16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Also try pushing your Landrover logo on your keyfob - This is factory set to open the upper tailgate  16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Some idiot was frantically pushing the button on the lower part of the tailgate while I was clicking the LR logo on the keyfob from a distance (just to allow him to take his stuff out).
This means I can not open the upper part any more, as the keyfob got reprogrammed by the unison of myself and the idiot, and the manual opening does not work (though I have replaced the switch). What are my options regarding setting the keyfob back to opening the upper part of the tailgate? Regards etc.,

Im sure you can - the instructions are in the owners manual  16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

The owners' manual says "push the LR logo on the keyfob while simultaneously pushing the upper tailgate lid switch". The problem is, it only works if the switch works. Regards etc.,

^^^^^ so without the keyfob - the upper tailgate does not open from the switch - the switch has been replaced & still does not work ? Is there a fuse ?  16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............
