Whine on deceleration at low speeds / revs - front diff?

I recently noticed a metallic whine when lifting off coming to a stop just below 1500 rpm. You can also feel a slight buzz through steering wheel as well when this is happening. Tends not to occur when accelerating apart from gentle acceleration after coasting, it continues for a few seconds. I think it's getting worse as time goes on. Does this sound like the front diff?
Car is an 09 TDV8 with 80k on the clock.

Turned out to be the near side front wheel bearing.
