So glad I missed out on the bargain that BC snapped up and happy I couldn't convince you to sell yours to me at a discount while you waited for your DS forever |

It looks awful in middle of screen due to bulky mirror unit but wouldn't work there anyway. Has to be on dotted area behind mirror. Lane departure worked but switched off due to annoying bongs every 5 minutes |

Had a 2-CH F750 installed today. RAC fitter did a great job. Very tidy, with the loop of wire to the rear window being less obtrusive than expected.

The Roadsign Recognition and the Lane Departure systems use the same tiny camera built into the front of the rear view mirror, pity that the feed from that cannot be utilised for for an monitoring camera too............ Maybe the next security upgrade from LR in the 2017MY? FYI Roadsign recognition also seems to use a data base in the navigation system as I used to get speed limit signs come up on the dash entering/ leaving the village I live in that had been moved about 20m as part of a graduated reduction from national speed limit to signposted 40mpg and then 100m on a 30mph sign + red rumble strips right across the carriageway. It is now the same at all the villages around this area and now we have camera enforced 20mpg limits 100m each side of the school entrances too.... Hasn't reduced the number of RTA's as we never had any in the first place and I couldn't tell you how long it is since a school kid got run over at the school, but the roads department has to use up its safety budget I suppose, pity that they didn't use it resurfacing the unsafe road surface full of potholes................ 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

There has been discussion on discosportforum about this and apparently the cameras LR fit are low res and wouldn't be good enough for evidence

The Blackvue unit I had was slow to grab a GPS signal. I tried two different units, both had issues.

Thinkware couldn't pick-up due to the Faraday cage created by the heated windscreen. Invested £30 on a GPS repeater, & 3M'd to the exterior, under the rear spoiler. Powered from socket in rear load-space, with antenna running under rear seats. Now picks up signals in seconds. |
