2010+ headlight turn signal bulbs

Hi All,

As you may know I updated my MY2006 RRS to the facelift 2010+ version a while back. Since then I have had a problem with the indicators/ turn signals flashing too quickly with the new headlights installed.

Now I have the Glohh units in the back which are meant to be balanced for the pre 2010 models and OE headlights from Valeo and as a result the indicators flash too quickly.

Can anybody tell me how to get around this? Should I use one of these resistors:

http://www.powerfuluk.com/products/r-rover...-(x2).html

But how would I wire this in to the headlamp or somewhere on the Glohh unit on the back?

Alternatively is there a 5200S bulb that would do the trick in lieu of the standard bulbs? Perhaps an "error Free" LED bulb, assuming that this emulates a resistor??

Any thoughts welcome as I need to get this solved before my inspection in March.

Cheers

Yes, you need to use resistors. They just need to be wired in parallel with the LEDs (i.e. from the indicator wire to ground). Bear in mind the heat generated by the resistors when you're positioning them (and water ingress on the wirning front also). 50 Ohm resistors are suggested to reduce the heat output. Thanks LfW Thumbs Up

I was going to go with 15Ohm, but if you say 50Ohm is better I'll go with that and then look at where best to install them.

Either at the front between pins 1 and 3 of the headlight connector and hidden away somewhere or at on the rear connector.

Cheers

I would assume that the rears are sorted and it's just the fronts that need doing. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Allegedly yes, also to note is that when I put the hazard warning on then everything reverts to normal...

Guess I'll install at the front and find a suitable location for the resistor to sit away from any water...

Thanks again for the help and pointers LfW Thumbs Up
