Hdc fault since changing lower wishbones

Hi all

I am currently getting a hdc fault followed by special programmes disabled and suspension lowered.

I have tried removing the battery and charging it

This fault has only come in since I have replaced the lower wishbone. Vehicle was fine before this.

Does anyone have any other suggestions to try or does it need plugging in?

Many thanks

David

Welcome. Thumbs Up

Did you have a full alignment after the wishbones were fitted? Was the Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) calibrated (If not, then I highly suspect this is the issue)? Question

Additionally, have you checked stuff like the height and ABS sensor wires that could have been disturbed?

Oh, and best to fill in your vehicle profile (if you think you have, check you've selected the colour). Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

I did the wish bones so no alignment yet

And how do I calibrate the steer angle sensor?

Thank you

It needs a diagnostic tool to calibrate it, but you also need to get the alignment done ASAP. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Needs to be plugged in to read the data from them, but you could check for physical damage to the wiring etc. I think it highly likely that the issue is the SAS and/or alignment though. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

brake peddle switch no joy
full left and right lock no joy..
next task is the unit under the passenger wheel arch, unplug it and checking for rusty pins...

The steering angle sensor needs calibrated using a diagnostic machine, not by working the steering lock to lock Thumbs Up

A blown brake light bulb can throw an HDC error too. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
