How long did it take you with the heat gun to remove a lens? Bow down I was born with a photographic memory. Shame it didn't develop!

soz late reply! it took me about 10 minutes in all. I just went around with the gun for most of the time, slowly softening the glue until I could pull apart the lens. Once you lift one end up then the rest is simple. Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.
DONE: Meduza front bumper, AB rear bumper, AB tailpipes, calipers repainted, rear upper tailgate upgrade, side steps, AB front grille, AB side vents, rear LED lights, clear side repeaters, integrated daytime running lights, LED headlights.
TO DO: color code sills and pillars.

Looks good, please keep the pictures coming as I fancy having a go at this myself. How did you attach the rings to the headlight surrounds? Where are you going to route the wires ? Sorry, questions questions...... Laughing

i glued the rings down with a glue gun. drilled a hole through each rim for the wires.

The best way to wire them is through the wiring loom, via utilising two free pin slots. If I can find two pins then I'll do it this way, but for now I've drilled and sealed a hole through the main casing and fed the wire through there, then connected them onto my drl loom via two 2-pin waterproof quick release connectors. Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.

Thanks sir, and apologies for not buying those rings from you. The dabhees after sales service was poor, esp. with a premium number and no one ever answering., despite me being connected and put on hold. I couldn't even get through. Better to buy from a reputable forum member who is on tap Thumbs Up

My issue was wiring this into the existing drl loom. Only two led's came on. So I measured the voltage and to my surprise it was 6V !! I had to create a new loom and connect this to the drl loom at a point before the control box. What a pain. But it's gotta be done properly or not at all!

It was simple to take off the reflectors, in case anyone asks you Wink Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.

Hi, I'm new to this forum, I joined to gather some information about doing the headlight conversion my self, its a pity they cost too much to have them installed from eBay. just a few questions:

- How did you guys create a wiring harness for the LEDs?
- When putting it back together are their any glues/adhesives you apply to stop any moisture intrusion?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Martin.

Welcome to the forum.
The guys on here are the best and I've learned so much from them.
Very important when you own an expensive car!

There essentially isn't a loom of sorts.
When you install the rings, you bring the led wires out of the back of your light unit by drilling a small hole, passing them through and siliconing up.
You then join up the lives, join up the negatives and add enough additional cable to run around the engine bay.
I ran the negatives to my black battery terminal and my lives to an ignition live in the fuse box.
There is an empty socket in there that takes a spade connector.
I also wired up an in line fuse just in case.
This will make your LEDs come on when you start your engine without your main or sidelights on.
Thumbs Up

Oh yes.....when putting the lenses back on, apply more heat and they should re seal.
I also applied a clear silicon bead around the light as belt and braces.
