Hey guys!

After reading the most excellent guides by Disco Mikey and Ridgeback Moor several times, I'm gonna do my own bush replacement!

I just want to check....is the procedure the same on their D3 "How to" guide as doing it on a 2007 RRS?

Would love to hear from the RRS guys who have done this procedure.

I've cracked on and ordered my updated thicker bottomed bushes!....oo-er!

Have you checked to see if you have normal suspension or the active suspension?. as they are totally different.

Hi Flack!

Hopefully yes.
I gave them my registration and they checked on the computer.
I have DR and DSC.
He said I have ACE as I have a 2007 HSE.

Sound correct?....I can always send them back I guess.

If you active suspension then the ARB's are not a straight forward job as on the D3, to do the fronts you need to remove the front prop shaft to the front axle to get access to the bush on the right hand side ..

....oh no!....(gulp)....I've just been put off now.
I was hoping that it was the same as the D3 guide the guys have done.

Nope its a lot bigger job, and the bolts are a pig if they have been rounded off like the last one I did

How can I tell if it's gonna be a pig Flack?
Will I not be able to see both both bushes on the front?
I've had a look and thought I could see both.

I've been trying to find a RRS guide but can't seem to find one.

The bushes on the active are in a different position on the anti roll bar, it's driven by hydraulics, so the bushes and clamps are bigger, are you sure you have this suspension, do you have a extra pump on the aux belt ?.

.....crumbs....now you're asking!

Is it not as simple as knowing what year your vehicle is and what model?
What would be the standard on a 2007 2.7 TDV6 HSE?

If its an HSE which is the last model I did then it will have the active on it, not the same as dumb anti roll bar design as on other sports and the D3 and D4.

I think I may of bitten off more than I can chew mate!!
Maybe a garage job I think.
I really fancied getting the spanners out!
Gotta know your limitations and not be a hero!

From what I've read, it can be confusing.
ACE is what was used as a predecessor to DR which is a newer evolved version of it.
In some manuals, they still use the term ACE to describe what essentially is DR on later vehicles.
Hopefully this is true and someone will correct me if I'm wrong!

I know the two different terms being used together confused me!
