If you have a 2006 or earlier, then blanking the EGR's will make a bit of a difference. A remap definitely makes a difference.

You don't need sand mode - just use command shift and select 1st gear. Then it pulls away nicely.

In ye olde 3.0 I flip over to Sport mode if I need to do a Starsky & Hutch getaway from standstill. Less suicide, more like mild self-harm.

I don't find my 2.7 hesitant. I do have an Allisport intercooler fitted (and have a de-cat pipe waiting to be fitted; then will get a remap ) but, since I blanked my EGRs, I'm content with it's performance. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

I got the EGR blanking kit off eBay delivered today so over the weekend I hope to fit it (weather permitting) so I'll let you know how it goes. It was only £17 so fingers crossed. |

Can you fit egr blanking on a 2009 2.7tdv6 ? Also is it a easy fix to do for a novice? Only used to fixing an old 300 tdi defender |

Try getting the gearbox adaptations deleted. As Bodsy says, this will delete the memory settings and re-learn your driving style which may solve the problem.

Thanks Tims but he's already been to my house and done that (plus a few other mods).

I read this this thread enthusiastically as I wasn't even sure what an EGR was!
